Frequently Asked Questions
- What are the contra indications for colon hydrotherapy?
No intestinal rinsing may be performed for the following symptoms;
- Why Colonhydrotherapy?
Our food today consists mainly of refined processed food with lots of saturated fats and little natural fiber. Processed low-fiber foods tend to produce dry, hard or sticky stools that do not move easily through the intestinal tract. Because of this the stool stays in the colon too long and becomes hard and dry.
- Do I have to prepare for a intestinal flush?
We advise clients to adjust their diet for intestinal flushing. So that the treatment runs smoothly.
- What is the gut?
The intestine is an important part of the digestive system. The intestine consists of two parts, the small intestine and the large intestine (including the rectum), both of which play a completely different role in digestion. The food enters via the mouth, esophagus and stomach first into the small intestine and then into the large intestine. On the journey through the digestive tract, the food undergoes all kinds of processes, after which the important nutrients are released and absorbed by the small intestine. The indigestible remains of the food end up in the colon and are eventually discharged as faeces through the anus. The colon is 1.5 meters long.
- How do you recognize a poorly functioning gut?
One may suffer the following toxic condition for years;
- What is the difference between an enema and a colon hydrotherapy treatment?
With an enema, the water does not reach the entire large intestine and the last part of the large intestine is cleaned. That's your left side. Because the water is introduced under light pressure during a colon hydrotherapy treatment, the water reaches the entire large intestine, making the cleaning more intensive. One colon hydrotherapy treatment can be compared with 15 to 20 enemas!
- How does Colonhydrotherapy work?
Filtered water with a pleasant temperature of between 32 ° C and 38 ° C enters the colon through a closed system with a light, unobservable pressure. That gives a counterpressure to the intestines, so that the natural peristaltic bowel movement starts again and provides the intestinal wall muscle, until all the water flows out of the colon.
- How long does a colon hydrotherapy treatment take?
Each treatment lasts approximately 45 minutes. Then record probiotics for 5 minutes.
- Can I work after a intestinal flush?
After a treatment you can basically work and drive home with a car. Colon hydrotherapy is a form of cleaning. It is better to create space and time for yourself during the treatments and not to plan the agenda.
- What are the side effects of a colon hydrotherapy treatment?
These can be very different. Bowel cleansing removes waste materials that can temporarily cause fatigue and in some cases headache. The body is detoxing, which requires a lot of energy. Another reaction can be just the opposite: more energy and a relieved and uncluttered feeling.
- Do I lose weight with colon hydrotherapy?
A good colon hydrotherapy treatment can remove a lot of excess kilos and take away the feeling of a bloated stomach. During a spa week people lose an average of 3 to 4 kilos of caked material in the intestines. By changing your eating pattern, surplus kilos will stay away.
- Is the treatment painful?
The treatment stimulates the natural movement of the intestine, peristalsis. The sense of urgency arises and this feels different for everyone. It can give an unpleasant feeling, just like cramping on the toilet, but this indicates that the intestine responds well to the flush and is therefore a positive sign.
- Is one colonhydrotherapy treatment sufficient?
No, how many treatments are needed depends on the complaints. Even if there are no specific complaints, one treatment is not enough. Often six treatments are needed. It is best to make four consecutive appointments. Depending on the complaints and the desired result, intervals of approximately 3 days and a week are recommended. This is followed by an evaluation moment to see how we will proceed.
- Will my intestinal flora be disturbed during the intestinal flushes?
The intestinal flora is often disturbed by intestinal plaque. It is advisable to use a product that balances the natural gut flora just before and after colon hydrotherapy treatments. Purified water is used for intestinal flushing. Cleaning will also leave some good bacteria out of the body. That is why you will be given probiotics (good bacteria) in the last five minutes of treatment so that the intestinal flora is back in balance.
- Is it necessary to adjust my diet during the treatments?
For an optimal result it is advisable to adjust your diet. Eat as much vegetables, fiber and fresh fruit as possible three days prior to treatment. See attached appendix for nutritional advice.
- When a good coffee enema recording?
The intestines must be clean for optimum coffee enema intake. We recommend 3 intestinal rinses in advance to a coffee enema.
